GAINESVILLE - After posting 167 yards rushing against South Carolina last weekend, playmaker Percy Harvin was recognized as the SEC Offensive Player of the Week.
Harvin is thought of more as a receiver than a running back, but he has found success running the ball, something Coach Urban Meyer has no issues with.
"For what we do with him, he's in the right offense with the right plays," Meyer said.
The key to Harvin's success is his ability to operate and make plays in space, which was the case on his 80-yard touchdown run last Saturday.
"We are going to try to use him more on the outside," Meyer said. "On the outside, it's hard to double a guy. I think Percy is also a tailback, but we're doing what we have to do with him to win games."
TEBOW'S SWAN SONG?: Lost amid Florida's stellar play and their championship aspirations is that QB Tim Tebow is eligible to enter the NFL draft after this season.
When asked if this could be his last home game, the junior laughed the question off.
"I don't even think about that," Tebow said. "The more I'm here the more I want to stay here. I love being a Gator."
