Why Putnam Left Post
Re: "That's Not Why I knocked On 20,000 Doors" (Views Nov. 16):
In trying to dissect the real reason Adam Putnam decided to step down from his leadership post, I believe it is because he finally realized that the Republican leaders' positions on most issues were not the same as their constituents.
That is also why there was no party unity in Congress.
Low polling percentages should have warned them of the problem.
Does the party now understand why they lost so badly on Nov. 4?
