TALLAHASSEE - He is the best wide receiver Florida State has faced all season.
Maryland junior Darrius Heyward-Bey is 6-foot-3, 205 pounds and can flat-out fly.
After going up against him the last two seasons, FSU CB Patrick Robinson admits that speed left quite an impression.
"He's one of the fastest players I've ever played against," Robinson said. "Ever."
The potential first-round pick has 35 catches for 539 yards and five touchdowns. He also has 197 rushing yards and a touchdown on 12 attempts.
"He's made plays every time we've played them," FSU S Jamie Robinson said. "He's big. Fast. He's got speed. He's got good hands. That's a guy that Coach Mickey Andrews has been stressing - to always know where he's at.
"He's a big threat. We're going to have to be wary of him."
INJURIES: FS Darius McClure tore cartilage in his left knee versus Boston College, the FSU sports information department confirmed. Senior Kenny Ingram, who has gotten reps at outside linebacker this season, confirmed he has been getting reps at safety this week.
