TAMPA - A Plant High School student remained in jail this morning, accused of breaking into several cars and stealing thousands of dollars in electronics over the past month.
Isaac William Nguyen, 18, 3303 N. Lakeview Drive, Apt. 1713, was charged with multiple counts of car burglary, grand theft and dealing in stolen property. He remained in the Orient Road Jail this morning. Bail was set at $22,500. He was arrested at his home late Thursday night.
Tampa police said Nguyen broke into several vehicles in different locations. He stole a camera in October worth $2,600 from one vehicle, police said, and tried to sell it to "a friend of a friend" named Jimmy, but Jimmy took the camera and ran off without paying the $600 asking price, police said.
He also stole an iPod on Nov. 7 and pawned it, police said.
Police previously arrested a 17-year-old co-defendant identified as Denzel Clifton Edwards, also a Plant High student, on Nov. 7.
