BRADENTON - Authorities today are investigating the early morning burglary of a jewelry store and theft of an undetermined amount of jewels.
Manatee County sheriff's deputies responded to the 5:48 a.m. alarm at the Gulf Coast Jewelers shop at 1403 57th Ave. W. in Bradenton to find broken glass all over.
Deputies said the front door window and the tops of the display cases were shattered.
The shop's owner, Stephen McCarty, arrived and began the process of identifying which pieces were missing.
Deputies this morning had no suspects.
