Two armed men threatened to shoot a Bradenton woman as her young child looked on during a robbery early today, deputies said.
Manatee County deputies said the attack occurred at 3:20 a.m. in front of a home in the 1600 block of 55th Avenue Circle East in Bradenton.
The woman is not being identified because the suspects are still at large.
Deputies said that as the woman arrived at the home and reached into the back seat of her car to get her young daughter, two armed men approached her and pointed pistols at her.
Both threatened her life before one grabbed her purse and the other grabbed a small travel bag from the vehicle, deputies said.
Both gunmen ran off. No shots were fired, and no one was physically injured.
Both men wore masks and were armed with pistols. Deputies said one was black, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, about 150 pounds and wearing a black hooded jacket. They said the other was black, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, about 150 pounds and wearing a black jacket.
