Seminoles Survive Scare

TALLAHASSEE - Florida State almost blew a 16-point halftime lead, but Toney Douglas led the Seminoles back with 26 points to earn a 79-77 win against Stetson on Thursday night.

Florida State led 43-27 at halftime, but Stetson took a 56-54 lead on Garfield Blair's 3-pointer with 12:35 to play. The two teams exchanged the lead before the Hatters went on a 8-0 run to go up 66-59 with 8:47 to play.

From there, Douglas took over, scoring eight straight points to restore the Seminoles lead. The Hatters tied the game with a free throw by Blair, but after Solomon Alabi's jumper put the Noles up 69-67, Stetson was unable to come back.

FSU 70, COLL. OF CHARLESTON 57: Freshman center Cierra Bravard scored a career-high 25 points and added eight rebounds to lead the Seminoles to a win against the College of Charleston (1-1). The Seminoles (3-0) also got 15 points from Jacinta Moore.
