GAINESVILLE - Florida reserve quarterback Cameron Newton was arrested Friday afternoon for felony charges of burglary, larceny and intimidating a witness, according to an Alachua County police report.
According to the University Police Department report, Newton, a sophomore, stole a student's laptop and threw it out of the window when UPD officers visited his dorm Friday.
Newton has been suspended from the team, according to sports information director Steve McClain.
Newton has only played in one game this season.
