TAMPA - The field of eight teams is set for the 2008 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Soccer Championships, which will be hosted by The University of Tampa. The men's and women's Final Four will be played at UT's Pepin Stadium from Dec. 4-7.
The University of Tampa (18-3-1) men's soccer team will be playing at home as it advanced following a 3-2 double overtime victory over South Atlantic champion Tusculum. The Spartans will meet Cal State-Dominguez Hills (17-2-4), who advanced with a 2-1 win over Midwestern State. The other men's semifinal will match Northern Kentucky (16-2-4) with Dowling (17-3).
On the women's side, South Region champion West Florida (23-0-1) with be the lone team from Florida as it will face St. Rose (20-3-2). The other women's semifinal will feature Metro State (20-1-3) versus Seattle Pacific (20-1-2).
Game times for the semifinals have been announced, though the semifinal matches have yet to be assigned to a start time.
