CLEARWATER - Linda Bollea wants an additional $400,000 from her and her estranged husband's frozen assets to cover her attorney fees, according to court documents filed last week.
Bollea, who is divorcing former professional wrestler Hulk Hogan, already had been given access to $1.5 million from the frozen fund in February for her attorneys, court documents state.
Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, was given $800,000 for legal fees, the documents state. In August, he received an additional $400,000, documents state.
Linda Bollea's attorneys say she should not be expected to use temporary alimony payments -- $40,000 a month -- to cover her legal expenses.
"The wife is not required to deplete her principal assets or reduce the standard of living she has enjoyed throughout the marriage in order to pay her temporary attorneys' fees and costs," according to a motion Linda Bollea's attorneys filed on Nov. 21.
Her request for the additional money is expected to be debated at a court hearing.
