Pasco Man Faces Sentencing On Child Porn Convictions

TAMPA - A Port Richey pain doctor convicted of six charges of possessing and receiving child pornography is scheduled to be sentenced this afternoon.

U.S. District Judge Elizabeth Kovachevich is to sentence Richard Carino, whom she ordered taken into custody after the jury convicted him in July.

Investigators say they found images of children as young as 6 on Carino's office and home computers. He was reported to law enforcement by his then-wife, Autumn, who testified against him at trial.

Carino's medical license has been suspended indefinitely by the Florida Department of Health.
