TAMPA - Senior guard Shantia Grace poured in a school-record 44 points to lead South Florida (4-0) to a 97-43 victory against Coppin State (0-2) on Sunday.
Grace also set a school mark of eight 3-pointers. Her 44 points surpassed the previous record of 39 by LaTonya Greer against Cleveland State on Dec. 18, 1997.
Porche Grant had a game-high 14 rebounds for USF, while Jazmine Sepulveda had 14 points, and Brittany Denson and Janae Stokes added 10 points each. The Bulls led 57-17 at halftime.
USF takes part in the Paradise Jam Tournament in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, opening against California on Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
