TAMPA - Delta Air Lines and the New York Yankees have agreed to a partnership to jointly market the carrier and the baseball club with a series of initiatives at the new Yankee Stadium and the team's spring training and minor league site in Tampa.
Terms were not announced.
The Delta brand as the Yankees' "official airline" will be on display at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa on rotational, electronic signage and program signage.
Delta also will be involved in game-day sponsorship and an affiliation with the Tampa Yankees, the Yankees' Class A minor league affiliate.
At the new Yankee Stadium, which opens this spring in New York, Delta will manage a suite, place permanent scoreboard advertisement in left field, utilize rotational signage behind home plate and along the baselines, place branding on an high-definition scoreboard in center field and utilize print advertisements in Yankees publications.
