CLEARWATER - Last week Linda Bollea's boyfriend asked a judge for a restraining order against her estranged husband, Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea.
And the same day a judge denied it.
The boyfriend, Charley Hill, claimed Hogan stared at him at a traffic light one day this month and on the next day tailed him as he drove home, according to a copy of his petition, filed Nov. 20.
Hill said he feared Hogan would attempt to "kill or injure" him because Hill is dating Linda Bollea, his petition states. He also says in the petition that Hogan has a gun.
Hill wanted a judge to prohibit Hogan from approaching his home at 861 Lantana Ave. and his various places of employment, including a pool service where he works as a swimming pool technician, his petition states.
County Judge Michael Andrews denied the petition the same day it was filed. Andrews noted there had to be two acts of repeated violence within six months – such as assault, battery, sexual battery or stalking. Simply believing one is about to become a victim is not sufficient for a restraining order to be issued, Andrews wrote.
