McDougal Named Captain

ZEPHYRHILLS - Jeffrey McDougal, a 16-year veteran of the Zephyrhills Police Department, was recently promoted to captain.

McDougal, who has worked as a detective, patrol sergeant and internal affairs investigator, among other positions, is now commander of the Operations Division, the department said in a news release. His law-enforcement career spans 20 years.

The captain's position was opened when Capt. David Shears was promoted to police chief. McDougal was promoted Friday.
