For many, the blade of choice on Thanksgiving is a carving knife.
For Annette Jenkins, it was a machete, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office detectives.
Jenkins, 46, of 401 E. Columbus Drive in Tampa, apparently became irate Thanksgiving morning when her brother invited a woman to the residence they share, according to a report.
Shortly before 10 a.m., she armed herself with the machete, shouted, "Patty, if you don't get out I'll kill you," and started moving toward the victim, according to the report.
Deputies arrested Jenkins and charged her with aggravated assault. She was released from the Orient Road Jail today at 3:05 p.m. on $2,000 bond.
The machete was taken to the impound lot, according to the report.
