Tampa Police Report Robbery Of Synovus Bank

TAMPA - Police are looking for a man who robbed a branch of Synovus Bank at gunpoint today.
The man entered the bank at 4003 W. Neptune St. about 1 p.m., pointed a handgun at the assistant manager and ordered everyone in the bank to the ground, Tampa police said. He demanded cash, received an undisclosed amount and ran, police said.
Detectives described the man as black, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing roughly 200 pounds. He is bald and was wearing a ball cap, a white T-shirt, a blue hooded jacket and blue work pants.
