After causing a traffic accident at Busch Boulevard and Florida Avenue early Saturday morning, an 18-year-old Tampa woman fled the scene, followed by the woman she hit, only to cause another wreck 19 minutes later farther down Busch, police say.
Lina Hincapie-Aristizaba of 4733 W. Waters Ave. was driving on Busch Boulevard at 4:30 a.m. when she hit another vehicle, according to a police report.
What happened next, according to the report:
After that crash, she took off down Busch Boulevard until rear-ending another vehicle near the intersection of Busch and Nebraska Avenue at 4:49 a.m. When police approached Hincapie-Aristizaba, she reeked of alcohol, was unsteady on her feet and her eyes were glassy. Tests showed she had blood alcohol content levels of .160 and .154. State law presumes intoxication at .08.
Hincapie-Aristizaba was charged with two counts of DUI and one count of leaving the scene of an accident with injury. She was released on $3,000 bail at 1:45 p.m.
