THE DIFFERENCE: Junior quarterback Billy Embody was impressive for Carrollwood Day, passing for three touchdown passes in the first half, including a 36-yard pass to freshman wideout Dillon Floyd and a two touchdowns to Matthew Monteilh.
GAME NOTES: Despite a losing effort, junior linebacker Bryan Kilts contributed three sacks for Mount Dora, all in the first half. ... Mount Dora's Tyrone Johnson, who plays both sides of the ball, intercepted a pass from Embody late in the first quarter. ... Mount Dora (2-3) scored two touchdowns; a 12-yard run by wideout Cornelius Whitehead off a quarterback draw and a 40-yard pass from Whitehead to wideout Tyrone Johnson. ... Cornerback Darius Bing made a key tackle on Whitehead on a fourth-down attempt by Mount Dora, making it turn the ball over on downs late in the third quarter.
STAT OF THE GAME: Carrollwood Day's defense put pressure on quarterback Parker Brown all game. The senior had one of his worst performances this season, throwing two interceptions, including one that was returned for a 93-yard touchdown by Bing in the fourth quarter.
