THE DIFFERENCE: QB Stephen Weatherford showed off his mobility by eluding sacks all night. He threw for one touchdown and ran for another, leading the Gators to a convincing homecoming win against the Seahawks.
GAME NOTES: Weatherford was 11 of 18 for 144 yards, with an interception, and he ran the ball six times for 41 yards. His touchdown run came three plays after he scrambled for 21 yards on a second-and-20. ... Gators junior Alex Robinson caught five passes for 66 yards and had a 19-yard TD catch in which he barely kept his feet inbounds. ... This is the second straight year the Gators have shut out the Seahawks. They won last year, 26-0. ... Zack Fisher had a sack and forced a fumble for the Gators, who are now 3-2 overall and 2-2 at home. ... The Seahawks are now 0-3 on the road and 1-3 overall. ... Ten different players from Land O' Lakes ran the ball and the Gators rushed for 176 yards in the game. ... Van Tucker had a sack for Sunlake. ... The Gators do not have another home game until Oct. 31 against River Ridge.
STAT OF THE GAME: The Gators' stifling defense allowed only 19 yards passing and 67 yards overall from Sunlake.
