THE DIFFERENCE: Mitchell (3-1) held on despite a fourth quarter comeback by Hudson (0-4). The Mustangs scored 21 unanswered points and cut the lead to three points before a Hail Mary pass on the game's final play fell incomplete. Mitchell dominated the ground game, rushing for five touchdowns and 346 yards. Sophomore Ricky Trinidad accounted for three of the touchdowns and 224 of the rushing yards.

GAME NOTES: Trinidad broke TD runs of 33 and 48 yards in the second quarter, then another for 91 yards in the third quarter. ... Mitchell quarterback Cody Van De Boe ran a TD in from 11 yards on the game's opening drive, and then hit Dylan Lamb with an 11-yard touchdown pass later in the first quarter. ... Quarterback Zack Wynn passed for 321 yards, and accounted for all five Hudson touchdowns. ... Cobra receiver Dylan Buono caught two of Wynn's TD passes, and ended with 236 receiving yards.

STAT OF THE GAME: Mitchell's 39 points topped its season total, having scored only 34 points in their first three games.
