What went right for the Bucs: Tampa Bay got its running game going. Earnest Graham popped a 14-yarder, and Warrick Dunn followed with a 38-yard burst.

What went wrong for the Bucs: Quarterback Brian Griese overthrew tight end Jerramy Stevens, who beat Broncos safety Marquand Manuel to get open in the end zone.

What went right for the Bucs: The Bucs defense denied the Broncos' top-ranked offense anything deep in the passing game, which clearly frustrated Denver quarterback Jay Cutler.

What went wrong for the Bucs: The offense bogged down. Sacks, a delay penalty and a holding penalty contributed to the lackluster effort.

What went right for the Bucs: The quarter started well, with the offense picking up three first downs and punter Josh Bidwell pinning the Broncos at their 4-yard line.

What went wrong for the Bucs: Quarterback Brian Griese was knocked out of the game with an elbow injury. Denver took control with its only touchdown.

What went right for the Bucs: Quarterback Jeff Garcia led a 90-yard drive, capped by a 7-yard touchdown pass to Ike Hilliard, to pull the Bucs within 16-13 with 2:02 to play.

What went wrong for the Bucs: Tampa Bay hoped its defense would get the ball back, but Denver's offense picked up two first downs and ran out the clock to seal the victory.
