TAMPA - Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven is offering $15 discount admission to enter the park after 4 p.m. on Oct. 24 to bolster attendance during the slow fall visitors season.
That night features a performance by country musician Billy Currington. Reserved seats for the concert are $10, $15 and $25; park admission is not included.
Currington's second album, 2005's "Doin' Somethin' Right," reached No. 2 on Billboard's country albums chart. His hits include "Walk a Little Straighter."
Cypress Gardens has joined attractions Silver Springs in Ocala and Weeki Wachee Springs in Hernando County in closing on various days during slow months.
Cypress Gardens is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October. It will be open Saturdays and Sundays from Nov. 1 to 22, when the park will be begin opening daily (except Thanksgiving).
