Welcome to a new day for the Tampa Tribune.

The new Monday through Friday Trib reflects what you've told us about what you want in a daily newspaper: convenience, utility, the news you need to stay connected.

The first section is news. It puts local news where it belongs: right up front. We'll provide a complete daily report, from local to business to national and international news, all in this section. Editorials and your letters also appear in here.

The result is a section that provides a more colorful, lively look at the day's news in a format that respects your time.

The second section is a redesigned Classifieds section, which remains the marketplace for homes, jobs and merchandise. It also contains the obituaries, the comics, and the puzzles and games.

On Mondays during football season, we'll continue to publish our comprehensive Bucs Bonus section. On Fridays, a separate section will look ahead to all the high school, college and professional sports coming that weekend. Tuesdays through Thursdays, all sports coverage will be part of the first section, along with the rest of our news report.
