TAMPA - What, not everybody was thinking sports?
While it seemed most of the Tampa Bay area was focused on the Bucs or Rays on Sunday, a couple of dozen artists took time to capture the University of Tampa's stainless steel minarets and the fauna on canvas.
The Henry B. Plant Museum supplied canvas and paper for the school's first Victorian Draw on the Veranda.
Local artists, students and families mingled on the museum's lush grounds and, when inspired, stopped, flipped open their sketch pads and began drawing.
"I just think it's a great opportunity to get outside and be inspired," said Tampa artist Janice McCaskill.
