TAMPA - Commuter Choices Week starts today with a half-dozen transportation-related groups gathering at Poe Plaza in downtown Tampa at 11:30 a.m.
"There's free pizza," said Sandi Moody, executive director of Bay Area Commuter Services, which coordinates car and van pools.
The 12th annual event promotes carpooling, bicycling and mass transit. The groups will hand out brochures and offer alternatives to driving to work.
The transit-themed events continue Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in Clearwater, New Port Richey and downtown St. Petersburg.
