PLANT CITY - A candlelight vigil is scheduled for Brooke McDonald at 7:30 tonight at the polo field in Walden Lake.
McDonald, 17, was fatally shot Saturday while attending a party after a man pointed a large caliber revolver at her head and pulled the trigger, Plant City police said.
Thomas Grieco, 20, was arrested and charged with manslaughter. Grieco lives in the apartment at 115 J. Arden Mays Blvd. where the fatal shooting occurred, police said.
Another man, Jon Hosmer, 21, of Plant City was charged with tampering with evidence, police said.
According to an arrest affidavit, Grieco pointed a .44-caliber revolver at McDonald and pulled the trigger. He believed the gun was not loaded, the report said.
The gun fired, hitting the teen in the head, police said.
Grieco is being held without bond at the Orient Road Jail. Hosmer is being held on $4,000 bail.
