TAMPA - Charges against Nathan Edward McRenoylds increased to second-degree murder after the man he shot Saturday night died Sunday at Tampa General Hospital, authorities say.
The incident began with a drug deal that went bad, Hillsborough County deputies say.
Troy Absher went to buy drugs at McReynolds' Valrico home, authorities said.
The two argued, and McReynolds apparently shot Absher in the head then left, deputies said.
Absher, 36, was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital.
Authorities found McReynolds at 4:45 a.m. Sunday at the Seminole Motel, 7200 N. Florida Ave. in Tampa. McReynolds, 36, is being held without bail at Falkenburg Road Jail.
