Bubble-headed Idea
I have to tell you that I hate the new layout and organization of your paper. You got so wrapped up in making changes that are wonderful from your perspective that you obviously did not stop to think about how your customers actually use your paper.
Every morning my wife and I have split out the various sections of the paper so we can each read some at the same time. Now that everything is all in one, we can't do that anymore. This is just another bubble-headed idea like Tampa needing more fountains. And if today's edition is any indication, you have changed from a newspaper to a social register. Where's the news?

More National News
I think you have vastly underestimated the number of people who look to your newspaper for national and international news. Your new tabloid-like format is completely inadequate for those who expect some depth in news coverage. You have created a paper for "lookers," not readers, and this dumbing-down is a huge disservice to the community.

Thanks For Memories
As a 28-year subscriber to The Tampa Tribune, I will not be renewing my subscription since you decided to drop Joe Brown. Thanks for the memories, Mother Trib.

Classified Burial
I am an older reader and have a question about the Tribune's new obituary policy. How late in the week must I linger on to avoid being buried in the Classified section?

Dishonoring Deceased
Just when I thought the Trib could not get any worse, it did. It is worse than any I have seen, even weekly papers. You emphasize sports not only in the Sports section but also in the main section and on the front page.
To make matters even worse, you dishonor the deceased by putting the obits in the Classified section. I will no longer subscribe to the Trib as soon as my subscription expires.

Chopped-Up Mess
In my opinion, your new format is a chopped-up mess. It wasn't broke, and you tried to fix it.

Not User Friendly
As long-time Trib readers and senior citizens, we find the new format very unfriendly to read and un-shareable. The single section arrangement is unwieldy. It is difficult to locate specific information like weather, tides or obituaries or editorials in such a large single-section arrangement.
We plan to unsubscribe due to your changes.

Put It Back!
Your new newspaper stinks! You crammed everything into one section except the classifieds and heaven forbid the Bucs special. My husband doesn't like it because he likes to pull out the sports and throw the rest away, and he can't do that anymore because you put the sports in all the sections.
You need to consider putting the paper back the way it was. We are seriously considering changing to the St. Petersburg Times when our subscription is up. We have been loyal subscribers for more than 20 years, but these changes are outrageous.

Embarrassing Placement
Does not the Tribune feel a just little embarrassed to place the obituaries in the Classified section? How the survivors and friends must feel when they view ads on the left and comics on the backside of the death notices.
What was the criterion for knocking Joe Brown from the Editorial Page? This thought-provoking and skilled writer was one-in-a-million!

Never Renewing
Ever since I moved to Tampa in 2003, The Tampa Tribune has been falling apart. Yesterday was the end. I will never renew by subscription to this poor excuse for a paper. I've lived in a lot of large cities but none with a paper this bad!
You people should be ashamed, but I don't think you know the meaning of the word!

Confusing Readers
Your editor in charge of confusing readers did a great job.
I had to search for everything I wanted to read this morning. Your new format stinks.
