TAMPA - Bail was again denied for a woman facing vehicular homicide and other charges in the Sept. 10 head-on crash on the Selmon Crosstown Expressway that killed a mother and left her daughter in serious condition.
Cheryl Riemann pleaded not guilty to all charges in an arraignment Tuesday before Hillsborough Circuit Judge Daniel H. Sleet.
Sleet ordered Riemann held without bail, duplicating a decision made last month by Judge Walter Heinrich.
Authorities said Riemann was driving on the wrong side of the road and didn't know where she was when her vehicle hit a car driven by Jennifer O'Boyle, who was killed. Boyle's daughter, Summer Moll, 4, survived, but remains hospitalized.
Riemann's blood-alcohol level was at 0.244, authorities said. Florida law presumes intoxication at 0.08.
She was initially charged with four felonies: vehicular homicide, driving under the influence manslaughter, DUI resulting in serious bodily injury and reckless driving. Last week, prosecutors added three misdemeanor charges for damages incurred by three other drivers in the chain reaction of accidents the initial crash caused.
