TAMPA - A Plant City man grew 77 marijuana plants and stole $30,000 in electricity, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Investigators arrested Delio Castaneda, 48, about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
He was charged with trafficking in marijuana, cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft of electricity.
Investigators used a search warrant at Castaneda's home, 8318 Back Road, and found marijuana plants in two rooms, a criminal arrest affidavit states. Investigators say Castaneda was tapping into underground service wires and getting unmetered electricity.
Castaneda remained in Orient Road Jail today. His bail had not been set.
