Obama Was Winner
There is no doubt in my mind who won Tuesday night's debate. Obama was articulate, showed a greatly improved maturity since the beginning of the campaign, and was specific in answering the questions with a point-by-point explanation of his solutions.
I didn't see any plans of McCain. He danced around the issues while his disdain for Obama was clearly obvious.
Obama is classy, gentlemanly and polished. McCain ran true to his colors: a snarky old man with a terrible attitude who has no grasp of the enormity of the current economic situation.

McCain Has Experience
I am very impressed with Senator McCain and his experience for our country. We need a president in the White House who would pick up the phone at 3 a.m. about an act of terror somewhere around the world.
We need a lawmaker in the White House who has the experience, knowledge and background and who has already served his time in hell and doesn't need on-the-job training.

Mortgage Bailout
In Tuesday night's debate, John McCain said he would order the Treasury secretary to buy up all delinquent mortgages and reprice them at the current lower home value for the distressed homeowners.
I would like him to explain how this is fair to all the responsible homeowners who pay their mortgages on time and did not overextend themselves and are cutting back in other areas.
He is saying now that we taxpayers are bailing out the irresponsible bankers; let's have the taxpayers bail out the irresponsible homeowners.
That's fairness?
If McCain gets elected I would call upon all the homeowners in the U.S. to stop paying their mortgages so they too can get their home value reduced and get a new lower mortgage.
I believe Barack Obama is correct when he says McCain doesn't get it.

Not Fooled By Tax Plan
Someone needs to start informing the public on Barack Obama's tax plan.
Taxing companies will only force business to raise their prices on goods and services. This tax hike will be handed down to the consumer.
Also, people making over $250,000 per year will be taxed. Congressmen make more than that much with salaries and outside businesses, investments, etc.
Do you think our Congress will give themselves a tax hike of 20 to 30 percent?
The good senator likes to talk a lot, but I think he is more of the same type of hypocrite who got us into these financial disasters.
I am not going to be fooled by his tax plan.

Won't Forgive Or Forget
I am a recent retiree of Florida after living in the N.Y. area for 55-plus years. The Islamic terrorist attack on 9/11 changed my life in many ways. Senator Obama, in answering a debate question and again attempting to bash the president, began by stating: "Some of you may remember the tragedy of 9/11."
Some of you? May remember? Tragedy? What American could have forgotten as Muslims cheered around the world? I cannot forget or forgive. I flew on 9/11/02 and 9/11/03 and now cry for the memory and tear up for our military with pride.
A train crash or bridge collapse is a tragedy. The deliberate toppling of our lifestyle and economy is much worse. Shame on Obama for his comment. And shame on John McCain for not calling him on it.

'That One' Will Win
When McCain referenced Obama as "that one," it solidified my intent to vote for "that one."
Senator McCain, "that one" is the one that you will soon be referring to as "President Obama."

Blame, Not Solutions
McCain did not wear a flag pin, when it was such a big deal for him. And he didn't act presidential. He offered no real solutions, but only tried to blame Obama or misstate or misrepresent things about Obama.
Obama promised to put the middle class first, focus on clean air, solar and such, and restore leadership to the world. The more I observe and listen, the better Obama sounds. We really need a change.

Rich Drive Economy
Contrary to what Barack Obama thinks, the rich in our country, overwhelmingly, are the people who invest in companies that create jobs and expand the middle class. They don't need the income and could just as well put their money in tax-free investments or invest abroad.
The rich drive our economy and the future of our country. We cannot afford to lose them.
