Tampa Gets Nude-Art Event

TAMPA - Nude Nite, the largest nude art show in the U.S. is coming to Tampa.

The three-night event, which includes a gown made from 15,000 condoms and a living recreation of Michelangelo's David, is planned for Feb. 26-28 at a location to be announced.

Nude Nite has long been one of Orlando's most anticipated art events, according to the show's director, Kelly Stevens.

For its 10th anniversary, the event is expanding to Tampa.

Stevens says it features "hundreds of cutting edge, sexy works from local, national and international artists" that celebrates the beauty of the nude through performance, demonstrations, interactive art, digital, film/video installations, experimental, metal, glassworks, sculpture, photography and mixed media in addition to fine art.

Additional information is available online at www.nudenitetampa.com. Tickets for the event will be available online beginning in January.

Stevens says the event started in 1998 in a small Orlando bar and grew to attract thousands who come to see world-class body painters, installation artists, and strolling street performers.
