MANATEE – A Bradenton man suffered two broken arms after he was struck four times with a baseball bat during an argument with his half-brother over a cell charger, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said.
Evan S. Jones, 40, of the 1000 block of Eighth Street East, was arrested today on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Jones and his half brother, whose name was not released, were arguing outside the residence they share together around 12:15 a.m. today.
Jones retrieved a wooden baseball bat from a closet inside the home and went back outside, swinging at the man he shares a mother with, according to a report.
The victim was taken to the hospital with two broken arms.
