Hillsborough Man's Death Ruled A Homicide

A 51-year-old man found dead in his house Friday morning was the victim of a homicide, Hillsborough County deputies say.
Investigators were called to 11523 Trotting Down Drive in Hillsborough County at 9:50 a.m. after the body of Lawrence Higgins was found in his home.
The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office deemed Higgins' death to be a homicide, with the victim having "suffered trauma to the upper torso," according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
One of Higgins' business associates discovered the body after he had gone to Higgins' home to check on him.
The sheriff's office did not release the associate's name Friday, saying he was a witness.
