PALM HARBOR - Senior quarterback and captain Sean Shelton scored on a 1-yard sneak in overtime to give Palm Harbor University a 28-21 victory against Countryside in a Class 5A-District 9 game Friday night.
Brandon Garoutsos scored three touchdowns for Palm Harbor. JaTyuan Landing ran for more than 100 yards for the winners.
"In the second half, we had an eight-minute drive, that was a key part for us," Palm Harbor coach Michael Mullaney said.

SEMINOLE 28
SEMINOLE - Sophomore quarterback Jesse Hevia came off the bench to throw three touchdown passes and lead visiting Dixie Hollins (3-3) past Seminole (3-3).
The Warhawks took an early 7-0 lead but Hevia brought the Rebels back with scoring passes of 19 yards to Josh Brown and 8 and 60 yards to Gerard Atkins. Running back James Worthen had runs of 60 and 53 yards and scored once for Dixie.
Seminole scored twice in the game's final minute as Aaron Swierenga threw TD passes to D.J. Helm.

SHORECREST PREP 21
ST. PETERSBURG - Indian Rocks Christian got rushing TDs by Buddy Kaufman, Lou Mason and Bert Englebert in the first half en route to 242 rushing yards and a victory against Shorecrest Prep.
Englebert went on to score two more rushing touchdowns in the second half.
Shorecrest's Hunter Tremaine had two rushing touchdowns in the first half.

CLEARWATER - Fullback Jakobi Coleman ran for a 49-yard touchdown to lead Keswick Christian (3-3, 3-0) past host Calvary Christian (2-3, 0-1).
Running back Jaylin Coleman led Keswick with 75 yards on 13 carries.
Keswick Christian's Doug Sanson hit Trevor Angell for a 51-yard TD in the fourth to put the game away.

BOCA CIEGA 12
GULFPORT - Northeast senior running back Juarez Wynn had touchdown runs of 6 yards in the first quarter and 67 yards in the second to spoil Boca Ciega's homecoming.
Boca Ciega answered in the first with a 34-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Shaquille Bradford to sophomore Tyree Green, who had just been elevated from JV.

LARGO 46, PINELLAS PARK 6
LARGO - Senior quarterback Ryan Eppes ran 16 times for 178 yards and a TD and threw 10 passes for 56 yards and a TD, leading Largo past Pinellas Park. Senior running back Marcel Durham ran six times for 74 yards and a TD.
The Packers rushed for 338 yards. Senior Mike Marry scored two TDs on runs; he also caught a 23-yard TD pass early in the second quarter. Junior Jason Wine scored on a 4-yard TD run.
The Largo defense was able to hold Pinellas Park to 131 yards of offense.

ST. PETERSBURG 21, GIBBS 14
ST. PETERSBURG - St. Petersburg (4-3) overcame an 11-point third-quarter deficit, scoring 18 unanswered points to steal away a district victory at Gibbs (3-3).
After tying the game on a 25-yard field goal from Devon Papendrew, the ensuing kickoff was fumbled by the Gladiators. The short field allowed Chris Winiecki to find an open Malik Wilson on a play-action fake, and Wilson's 34-yard reception for touchdown provided the go-ahead score.

ST. PETERSBURG - Northside Christian won its first game of the season on a 20-yard field goal by Seth Rogers in the second quarter.
DUNEDIN 24, CLEARWATER 6
DUNEDIN - The Falcons bounced back with a win thanks to two defensive touchdowns. Emmitt Emery returned an interception 74 yards and Jahron Jackson scooped up a fumble and scored from 46 yards out.

BRADENTON BAYSHORE 13
BRADENTON - The visiting Spartans jumped out to a 22-7 lead and never looked back, thanks to two Bernard Reedy TDs. He scored his first TD on a 21-yard run and later ran back a kickoff return 89 yards for a 22-7 lead. Torrian Howard had Lakewood's first score of the night, a 12-yard run.

BRADENTON - The host Seminoles scored three touchdowns in the first quarter and 42 points in the first half to rout Osceola.
