CHRONOLOGY
DECEMBER 2003: Within 24 hours, Jason Galehouse and Michael Wachholtz disappear.
JANUARY 2004: Wachholtz's body is found; Galehouse's remains are never found.
NOVEMBER 2004: Steven Lorenzo is indicted of federal charges of drugging seven men to commit violent crimes. Galehouse and Wachholtz are not listed among victims.
MAY 10 to 19, 2005: Scott Schweickert is flown to Tampa to testify at a federal grand jury. Detectives question him for hours, and he gives details of the missing men's deaths. He returns home, but is flown to Tampa and again questioned.
MAY 20, 2005: Lorenzo and Schweickert are charged in federal court with drugging and torturing the missing men.
NOVEMBER 2005: Lorenzo is convicted of nine charges of drug-facilitated violent crimes and one charge of conspiring with Schweickert.
JANUARY 2006: Calling Lorenzo a "psychopathic predator," a judge sentences him to 200 years in prison.
JANUARY 2007: Schweickert is convicted of conspiring with Lorenzo and giving Wachholtz a drug to commit a violent crime. He is acquitted of the charge in Galehouse's death.
APRIL 2007: Schweickert is sentenced to 40 years. A state attorney's spokeswoman says a murder prosecution announcement will come soon.
