THE DIFFERENCE: Sarasota Riverview had more big plays than Riverview by scoring on a 96-yard opening kickoff return, 41- and 68-yard touchdown runs and a 53-yard interception return for a score.
GAME NOTES: Sarasota's Andrew Booker put on an offense display returning the opening kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown and running in two more scores. He ran the ball 11 times during the game and finished with 100 rushing yards. ... Sarasota running back Jon Evans nearly equaled Booker by rushing for 98 yards in eight attempts, including a 68-yard run. ... Riverview quarterback Alex O'Regan passed 26 times for 144 yards, including completions of 31, 24 and 29 yards. Several of his passes were arched perfectly over defenders and into the hands of receiver Kenyatta Strachen. ... The game was marked with penalties. Sarasota had 10 penalties for 78 yards and Riverview had 13 for 50 yards. ... The Riverview defense forced six Sarasota fumbles, five of which were recovered by the Sharks.
