Driver Dies In State Road 60 Crash

A 21-year-old Lake Wales man died early this morning when his pickup truck lost control in Polk County.
Lorenzo Zarate was driving east on State Road 60 when he lost control of his 1992 Chevrolet truck just east of Dude Ranch Road about 1:25 a.m., the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Zarate veered off the road and over-corrected when he returned to the pavement, the highway patrol said. His truck went into a spin and began to flip, the accident report said.
Zarate, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene, the report said.
