TAMPA - Tampa Bay businesses seeking export opportunities in medical equipment, environmental technologies, telecommunications services and a half-dozen other commercial sectors can consult with the newly formed Swedish American Greater Tampa-Orlando Chapter of the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce of the United States.
Other sectors identified as Sweden's best prospects for U.S. exporters are power generation systems, travel and tourism, computer software, drugs and pharmaceuticals, automotive parts and accessories, and safety and security operations.
"If you are not doing business with Sweden, a good place to start is by becoming a [chamber] member," said George Martinez, director of the Tampa Bay Export Assistance Center.

At least four Florida banks doing business in the Tampa Bay area can be involved with financing trade with Sweden, a report by Martinez shows: BB&T Bank, Fifth Third Bank, Regions Bank and Suntrust Bank.
