DISTRICT TOURNAMENTS
Need To Know: The top three teams and the top three individuals not on the top three teams at each 18-hole district tournament will advance to next week's region tournaments.
TODAY
GIRLS
Class 2A-District 10
Where: Heritage Harbor, 8 a.m.
Outlook: Plant has won seven consecutive district titles, and the Panthers have a good chance to keep that streak alive.
Class 2A-District 11
Where: Heritage Isles, 9 a.m.
Outlook: Wharton and Durant, led by senior standouts Shena Yang and Amy West, respectively, should battle it out for the district title.
Class 1A-District 14
Where: the Eagles, 10 a.m.
Outlook: Berkeley Prep ran away with the district title last year, and the Bucs look poised to do so again, with senior twin sisters Kim and Kyleen Carpenter leading the way.
BOYS
Class 2A-District 10
Where: Silver Dollar, 8 a.m.
Outlook: Plant has won the last three district titles, and the Panthers, with another solid lineup led by senior Doug Letson, are the frontrunners to claim the top spot again.
Class 1A-District 14
Where: the Eagles, 9 a.m.
Outlook: Jesuit has won the last two district titles, but Berkeley Prep, Tampa Prep and Tampa Catholic should give the Tigers a run for their money this year.
TUESDAY
BOYS
Class 2A-District 11
Where: Temple Terrace, Noon
Outlook: Wharton is the defending district champ, and the Wildcats should be in the mix again for the top spot along with Plant City, Bloomingdale and Riverview, in a very deep district.
