TAMPA - A 16-year-old Robinson High School student was arrested this morning after she wrote a threatening message on a mirror in the girl's bathroom, Tampa police said.
The message indicated a bomb would go off at a particular time this morning.
The school at 6311 S. Lois Ave. was evacuated about 8:30 a.m. Police and school security searched the campus and found no additional threats, officials said.
Sonia Marie Forman of Tampa was charged with making a bomb threat, a felony, and disruption of a school function, a misdemeanor, police say. She was taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
Robinson Principal Laura Zavatkay wrote a letter to parents this morning informing them of the evacuation, saying that threats against the school, students and staff are taken very seriously and that "we will press charges against anyone who is responsible."
Other students were involved in the incident and will face disciplinary action, Zavatkay wrote.
