Sales Manager Hired For Hillsborough Convention Bureau

TAMPA - Tampa Bay & Co., which promotes the visitors and convention business for Hillsborough County, hired a former visitors bureau and hotel executive in Arkansas and Missouri to fill the position of national sales manager for religious and multicultural markets.

Sherri Brown, who worked for the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau and was sales executive for the Renaissance Grand & Suites Hotel, the Adam's Mark Hotel and the Roberts Mayfair Wyndham Hotel in St. Louis, joins the 50-plus person Tampa Bay & Co. staff.

Brown's role in Tampa will be to target large groups that will book more than 100 hotel rooms on peak nights, said Norwood Smith, vice president of sales for Tampa Bay & Co.
