Orient Road Near S.R. 60 Closing For Railroad Repairs

TAMPA - CSX Corp. has decided to speed up the closing of Orient Road to repair a railroad crossing, meaning drivers have until 9 tonight to use the road between East Broadway and Adamo Drive (State Road 60).
The railroad company was planning to shut down the corridor south of 14th Avenue starting at 5 a.m. Wednesday, but Hillsborough County received word this morning that CSX had sped up its repair schedule by eight hours.
The work is expected to last a week.
Additional crossing repairs are planned this week and next in the county's Palm River neighborhood south of the Palm River and east of McKay Bay.
