TAMPA - More than 40 employers are expected to participate in Hillsborough County's Career Connections Job Fair on Thursday.
Residents should come ready to interview for the 9 a.m. to noon event at the University Area Community Complex, 14013 N. 22nd St.
Employers will be interviewing for positions in retail, customer service, administration, sales, hospitality and health care. Free professional clothing will be available for women who attend the event.
Career Connections is organized by the county's Employment Opportunity Program. The organization's goal is to place residents in part-time or full-time jobs so the county can reduce the percentage of residents living below the poverty level.
The agency has assisted in placing 3,100 people in jobs since it started in 2003. The program also offers workshops on interviewing and budgeting.
For information about the event or the Employment Opportunity Program, call (813) 272-5074, ext. 216.
