Deputies: Teen's Tooth Injury Leads To Child Abuse Charge

TAMPA - John Barfield was upset when his 14-year-old relative wasn't paying attention to him, so he pushed a bowl into the child's face, injuring the boy's tooth, Hillsborough County deputies say.

Deputies arrested the 46-year-old Riverview man Wednesday afternoon, charging him with child abuse.

Barfield remained in Orient Road Jail today. His bail had not been set.
