Freemon Graves III, 32, died from injuries received after crashing his 1991 Acura into a pole, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A 32-year-old Seffner man died Thursday after his car crashed into a wooden utility pole, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Freemon Grayes III was taken to Tampa General Hospital with serious injuries about 5 p.m. Graves died during surgery Thursday night, highway patrol spokesman Sgt. Steve Gaskins said.
A passenger, Demond Joseph Blaxton, 15, suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene, according to a highway patrol report.
Grayes and Blaxton were not wearing seat belts, the highway patrol crash report states.
Grayes was driving south on Taylor Road in Seffner and was approaching the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Grayes was speeding and was not able to stop at the sign, troopers said.
Grayes' 1991 Acura went through the intersection, veered into the southbound shoulder of the road and struck the pole, the highway patrol said.
