TAMPA - The University of South Florida College of Business will present the Celebration of Free Enterprise Award today to the Busch Entertainment Corp.
The award recognizes the enterprise and practices of business leaders and companies. In a written statement, College of Business Dean Robert Forsythe said the "Busch Entertainment Corporation personifies the spirit of free enterprise. It is one of the nation's most prominent theme park operators, with 26,000 employees, $1.4 billion in revenue and operations in five states. Their successful business practices make them perfect for this award."
The most recent recipient of the award was Richard Gonzmart and the leadership team at the Columbia Restaurant. Previous winners include political commentator William F. Buckley Jr., congressman Jack Kemp, Sen. Phil Gramm and Indianapolis Motor Speedway President and Chief Executive Officer Joie Chitwood III.
