TAMPA - The University of South Florida picked a veteran hospital fundraiser to lead its foundation.
Joel Momberg will be the university's chief fundraiser and chief executive officer of the USF Foundation. He starts Feb. 2.
Momberg most recently directed a campaign to build a $400 million facility at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg. His employment at All Children's Hospital started in 1979, when he directed public relations. He was named executive vice president of the All Children's Hospital Foundation in 2000.
He replaces Jeffrey Robison as USF's chief fundraiser. Robison has led the USF Foundation since April 2007. In a memo in September, USF President Judy Genshaft said that Robison was stepping down to pursue other opportunities. A university spokeswoman would not elaborate.
