RUSKIN - Everybody pretty much knows that alternative energy is all the rage nowadays.

And you can get up to speed at a free, show-and-tell that will introduce machines and devices that save energy this weekend at Little Harbor, 611 Destiny Drive.

Sponsored by the Tampa Bay Alternative Enlightenment Group, the event will feature guest speakers, plus demonstrations and displays of the latest technologies, including hydrogen-assisted vehicle devices, alternative fuels, electrical devices and solar-powered systems.

Event hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
